Autumnal icons

posterityofthedesertWe've had a final burst of summer here in the UK, but I notice that many of my friends are thinking fondly of autumn days ahead. So I have made a few icons.

I also thought it might interest you to see what the images I start out with look like... I'm not a very fancy icon maker, but I am learning a few things as I go along. Anyway, below I have two of the base images for these icons.
This is such a lovely photo I found online, but when it was cropped down it didn't really give a very autumnal vibe... Even though wet London streets do remind me of autumn. I thought turning the sky into sunset hues would help, and as you can see I ramped up the golden shades in Big Ben!
This I wanted to give a slightly warmer, dreamier feel...
