No change here; I've been friends only for ages, but I thought I should have a post explaining that! Plus this banner is pretty.

I'm having a minor tidy up of my friends list - I do this periodically. If you get chopped, it's unlikely to be because you are a TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING and more that we don't communicate much; I tend to take people off my flist if we don't interact. You don't need to comment to stay! That always smacks of mild emotional blackmail to me. If you were looking for my fanfic, meanwhile, it's over at rachelsfic - feel free to friend that comm! If you're interested in becoming friends, drop me a line. I don't tend to friend people just because we have fandom things in common, but if we've got a few shared interests and you like the cut of my jib, I'm sure I can oblige you.

That would make fantastic desktop wallpaper! I spent a good few minutes hunting around for the original screencap this morning and decided it'll be easier to make my own. Not least because it gives me yet another excuse to watch the final episode again :D

Not feeling like I'm responding to blackmail, but maybe this seems like a good time to say that I really do regret that I've not stayed in touch with you as well as I could have. I think we threw around some idea about meeting up in London which didn't happen, but then my MA has bulldozed through much of my life and meant I neglected a lot of people that I didn't want to. Things have eased a lot, and I do I aspire to be a better LJ friend, and do hope that we can hang out properly sometime. :-)

Aww, thanks hon. I know you suggested meeting up and I should have tried harder to arrange it! My last couple of weeks in London I was pretty stressed with all my arrangements etc for moving.

You were quite right to defriend me a long time back - this is my first foray onto LJ in more than three years. And probably my last for another long period. So just wanted to say that I hope you are well. Did you finish your PhD? I hope so. If you know my name in the real world, google me and you'll find out what I'm up to, professionally at least. Personally, it worked out well. If you remember the trauma I had after having unexpected feelings for someone I thought I should never have loved... well, that was nearly five years ago, we're still together, and getting married in the summer. :)

you post cool icons, so I'd like to keep up with that. Also, Labyrinth is my favourite movie of all time, you're a feminist (I'm a feminist), you're an academic (as am I)...I'm sure there is more, but those three reasons are pretty compelling :P

I still haven't seen Veronica Mars. I really should, since Stephen King said it was great and I love him! Too much tv, too little time...

oh you really should. Its one of the best shows every made. Joss really loved it too (he's actually in an episode). And Stephen King, I love reading his column in Entertainment Weekly; he's one of the few critics from whom I will legitimately take suggestions from for books and movies and the like.

And I know what you mean about too much tv. I'm behind on pretty much everything except The Good Wife.
